MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
In all businesses, it is important
to take a step back and review accomplishments, analyze what is
working and what is not, set priorities, and determine the best
direction to ensure success. Over the past seventeen months, the
Tucker Business Association’s Board has been involved in this
process. We believe we are on the correct path for the future
and have placed our priority on providing our membership with
educational and networking opportunities to enhance their
businesses.
Having established the priorities, we plan to offer a series of
workshops this fall, at a minimum cost to member participants.
We have received a number of course suggestions, some of which
are: basic financial management (accounting structure, banking,
budgeting, etc); payroll processing and reporting; marketing;
business planning (how to analyze where your company is, where
you want to go and a plan to reach your goal); improving
customer service; and credit worthiness/understanding credit. If
you have a specific topic which you feel would be of benefit to
our members, please send your ideas to
lofty2@bellsouth.net.
Our Membership Drive runs through June 30. The individual
bringing in the most new members will be awarded a $100 gift
card. Membership forms, along with an information sheet about
TBA, can be obtained at any meeting or by contacting me at
lofty2@bellsouth.net.
Our speaker for May will be State Representative Kevin Levitas.
He will share with us the results from this year’s Legislative
Session and its impact on the business community, so you will
want to be there.
I’ll see you on the 15th!
Beth O'Neill, President
