MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

I would like to thank Leroy Tanker of Freedom Financial Services and his associate, Roy Cranman, for presenting the Business Killers Workshop at our October meeting. The workshop covered six common mistakes that business owners make that can destroy a business and compromise everyone involved. The information covered was vital to the security and survival of an established business, and I am sure we all will benefit from what we learned. Several of our attending members have expressed that this was one of our best presentations ever. If you were unable to attend the meeting, you may contact Leroy for information on these business killers. Freedom Financial Services develop and assist in implementing wealth strategies for business owners, retirees and pre-retirees.

The final day for voting for the 2009 Board of Directors will be November 14. If you have not voted yet, please do so. The voting link has been provided to all members, but if you need it again, please contact me.

Our Annual Meeting will be November 20, 2008. The 2007 annual report will be presented at the meeting, and the 2009 Board of Directors will be announced. Copies of the annual report will be available to members upon request.

Our November meeting will also be our last business meeting of the year, but don’t forget the ultimate opportunity to network. Brian Mock, VP-Events, has planned a wonderful holiday party for December 11 at the Hampton Inn-Northlake. In addition to great food and great company, we will be presenting annual awards and drawing for door prizes. When you get your E-vite, send in your check to confirm your reservation. Your entrance/door prize ticket will be provided to you upon arrival.

Beginning in January, our Out-Of-The-Bag program will be expanded. In addition to sharing the Home Page with the President’s letter, the winner will have the opportunity to share the details of his or her business at the next meeting. Always remember to bring your business cards to the meetings so you can participate in the drawings.

I’ll see you on the 20th!

Beth O'Neill, President
